Energy tax

Refund applications for excise duties on commercial diesel fuel in Belgium

Since 2004, it has been possible to obtain a refund of special excise duties (excise) on commercial diesel in Belgium under certain conditions.

All companies (with a VAT identification number) with a commercial vehicle over 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight as well as taxi and bus vehicles (M2/M3) are eligible. Even if you are not a transport company but use a truck to transport your own goods, you are also eligible.

The current reimbursement amounts are (subject to new decisions): 2023 (from 01/04): 0.2050665 €/litre, 2024: 0.2040665 €/litre, 2025: 0.2030665 €/litre, 2026: 0.2020665 €/litre

Readout of

Tachograph and driver card data including data evaluation

The evaluation of data from tachographs and driver cards is required by law.

As an employer, you are not only obliged to read out and store this data regularly, but also to analyse it in order to detect possible infringements. If the legal deadlines are disregarded, the company is threatened with heavy fines.

We read out the data from tachographs and driver cards (manually or by remote reading) and analyse them.

We prepare detailed reports and notifications on social violations such as excessively long driving times, missing rest periods, breaks that are too short and the incorrect use of the tachograph.

Before the driver cards expire, we do what is necessary to have them extended.

We will also inform you two months in advance if the tachograph needs to be recalibrated. Applying for new driver cards and checking driving licences are also part of our service. Your drivers can contact us with questions about driving and rest times or about the correct operation of the tachograph.
